PHILOSOPHY OF EDUCATION:
I believe as a Spanish teacher that it is my job to inspire students to want to learn a foreign language. I know that learning a foreign language is hard and is a tedious process. I want my students to want to learn and be excited to learn a foreign language. I am very passionate and hope to spread my passion, knowledge and insight to my future students.
I believe that all students have the right and ability to learn. I plan to follow through with that and teach them to the best of my ability. Every child is a unique individual that needs a secure, caring, and stimulating environment to learn in. I hope to help each student grow intellectually, physically, emotionally, and socially in my classroom. My classroom is a safe, secure place that students can be themselves and learn to the best of their abilities. Everyone is on the same page and is safe within my classroom walls. Respect for the teacher, fellow students, and anything in the classroom is expected and enforced. I plan to guide students and be a positive role model in their lives. I support student learning in whatever way shape or form.
I plan to help guide and provide the primary source of information to the students. I do, however, support constructive learning for my students. If they are able to find information on their own and share it with their fellow classmates, I have also done my job as a teacher. This ensures interest and promotes learning and teaching in my classroom. I plan to provide entertaining and engaging lesson plans that teach to all types of learners. Everyone learns in different ways and I embrace that. I plan to connect my curriculum to my student’s everyday lives. I plan to use real world connections and technology to do so.
The most important role I can play as a teacher is a role model for my students. I want to be a positive influence in their lives. My classroom door is always open and students can come to me for whatever they need. I am their teacher, but I am also there to help and mentor my students in any way shape or form. I also hope to ensure my passion for teaching and learning in my students. I want my students to be excited about education and not be discouraged. I love learning and hope that comes across to my students.
